Suburban Reykjavik

Elliðabraut comprises 117 residential units on the outskirts of Reykjavik. The units are fitted into the slanting terrain as 6 linear forms viewing the wide open landscape and distant mountains. The residents can enjoy a connection to nature, as the landscape is allowed to flow naturally in between the buildings. The living-spaces vary between 50 and 150 m² and are connected through an underground parking garage. The facades are clad in a combination of dark metal sheeting and timber.
