Nordic Office of Architecture welcomes new Head of Health Design and Associate Partners
With project work increasing rapidly in recent months, Nordic has hired seven architects and two interns. Additionally, the company's health group has a new leader, and four new Associate Partners have been named.
Hanne Hemsen has extensive experience working with Nordic's Health group on many of the firm’s important health projects; most importantly she has enormous trust from her employees.
"We are extremely pleased that Hanne will take on the responsibility of leading our health iniatives further. She has made a fantastic effort at Nordic for many years and is a natural leader of the group,"
says Eskild Andersen, CEO of Nordic.
Nordic's former Head of Health, Johannes Eggen, continues at Nordic with a strengthened focus on project implementation and business development. In addition to the changes in management, the partner group will be expanded with four new Associate Partners: Nettie Hew, Martin Moe, Frederico Francisco and Anders Lager. These four come from different market areas at Nordic and have excelled with their efforts for the company in recent years.
Nettie Hew has worked at Nordic since 2009 and has been leading one of Nordic's infrastructure groups in more recent years. She also shares the responsibility for airport planning and design in the company.
Martin Moe has worked as an architect at Nordic since 2012 and is an important part of the company's infrastructure group. He is responsible for project development and has been instrumental in solving planning challenges on several complex international projects. He currently leads Nordic's major NOIDA airport project in India.
Frederico Francisco joined Nordic in 2018 with a solid international portfolio from OMA, Mecanoo and Foster and Partners. He has proven his strength in concept development, design and project development repeatedly and will continue to further develop the firm’s implementation method for competitions and early phase projects together with the rest of the competition group.
Anders Lager joined Nordic in 2018 with a master's degree in architecture. He has now surpassed 350,000 square meters of health projects since he started in the firm and has been a key member in several competitions and tenders within the health sector.
All the Associate Partners have solid international networks and enjoy great respect from their clients and colleagues.
The workload has increased throughout autumn after Nordic won important new projects and existing projects have been expanded in scope. As a result, we have hired seven new architects: Kjeld van den Ende, Erik Sevestre, Susanne Flod, Yeojoon Yoon, Eivind Hajem, Per Carlsen, and Dounia Touil. In addition, the company will have two new interns: Nora Salvesen and Johan Thomassen.
"After the short downturn we experienced at the beginning of the pandemic, it is inspiring to strengthen our team again and we are happy to welcome so many great new colleagues," Andersen concludes.
