Full circle health
The ingenious design of our competition entry for the new regional hospital in Østfold created a new typology for a fully equipped hospital.
The concept featured a circular building housing bedrooms and offices floating atop a treatment and care "village”, designed for possible expansion in three directions. This created a great flow in the hospital, opening up a traditionally closed structure and making it more visibly intuitive.

The circular building and village are tied together via twelve giant structural columns, or joints, that double as junctions in which all services are located.
