Can We Build Our Way to Quality of Life?

At Nordic Office of Architecture Denmark, we’re always deeply engaged in the connection between architecture and quality of life.
At MorningDAC at the Danish Architecture Center on 6 May, we explored the largest study on quality of life ever conducted in Denmark. Realdania has just published the book 'Vores livskvalitet' (Our Quality of Life). The study offers a nuanced picture of everyday life in Denmark – and, importantly, how the built environment influences our well-being.

At Nordic, our daily mission is to positively impact people, society, and the planet through high-quality welfare architecture. Concrete design strategies include green edge zones, lush courtyards, and movement flows that help residents meet and interact more frequently in their housing communities.

A warm thank you to Camilla Richter-Friis van Deurs, Partner and Head of Urban Development at Nordic Office of Architecture Denmark, and to Henrik Mahncke, Head of Analysis at Realdania and author of Vores livskvalitet, for an inspiring start to the day.
