Nordic Office of Architecture strengthens partner group with two new Partners and three Associate Partners

Kristin Jarmund and Knut Ramstad are being admitted as partners in Nordic, while the firm is also taking on three new associate partners from the Iceland office.

“In March, Kristin Jarmund Arkitekter became part of Nordic, and with her extensive expertise and solid experience, it was only natural for Kristin to also become a Partner in Nordic,” says Eskild Andersen, CEO of Nordic.

Jarmund started the renowned architectural firm KJ-A in 1985 and is a highly acclaimed architect with nearly 40 years of experience leading large and complex projects. The quality and precision of her projects have made her one of Norway’s leading architects and earned her international recognition. Since the start of her career, she has received awards such as the Houen Fonds Diploma, Anders Jahres Cultural Prize, and has been named an Honorary Fellow of The American Institute of Architects (HonFAIA).

The second Partner being admitted is Nordic’s technology leader, Knut Ramstad. Ramstad joined Nordic in 2013 and has over 30 years of experience in 3D modeling, visualization, and simulation in large construction and development projects. Knut is also a recognised speaker, both nationally and internationally.

“Knut has been central to building the office’s technology strategy for design, decision support, and communication, and continues to take on multiple leadership roles,” says Andersen.

Since 2019, Ramstad has been an Associate Partner, Chief Technology Officer, and a member of the management team. In addition to now becoming a Partner, he will also take on the role as Head of Technology and Sustainability. In this role, he will work on how technology can improve both the project development process and meet environmental and sustainability goals. He represents Nordic in two very interesting research and development projects on sustainability in the construction industry – Dare2C and AluGreen. These projects, and Knut’s efforts in them, represent a driving force to bring Nordic to the next level in innovative areas of expertise.

Additionally, Nordic Iceland has three new Associate Partners: Jóhanna Helgadóttir, Hjalti Brynjarsson, and Sturla Ásgeirsson. They have all distinguished themselves professionally and have good relationships with many of our key clients in Iceland. A big congratulations to them all!
