"We are delighted to have been selected by NPV for this exciting urban development project. Our goal, in collaboration with NPV, is to create an area where an active urban life and a close connection to nature come together in perfect harmony. This will be a place where biodiversity, residents of all ages, and businesses can thrive side by side," says Camilla van Deurs, Partner and Head of Urban Development at Nordic Office of Architecture.
"A large-scale urban development project like Vingelunden in Vinge is exactly the kind of project that we at NPV excel at developing and realizing. We will focus on climate-friendly solutions, strong communities, and housing models that foster a vibrant and high-quality urban life. We are therefore very pleased that Nordic Office of Architecture has agreed to be our architectural advisor for the local planning work," says Kim Lang Sørensen, Director, COO, and Partner at NPV.
A New Lively and Sustainable District
The Vingelunden project includes approximately 660 homes spanning around 50,000 m², as well as 4,400 m² of commercial space for services, cafés, shops, and a grocery store—all designed to create a district where both residential and commercial life can flourish. Two parking structures with around 570 parking spaces will also be established to ensure efficient infrastructure.
"Vingelunden will offer high-quality modern homes and a diverse range of functions that contribute to a vibrant and dynamic urban environment. There will be space for both small and large communities, and we have a strong focus on climate-friendly initiatives that enhance residents' quality of life and their connection to nature," says Mads Lund, Creative Director at Nordic Office of Architecture.
The development of Vingelunden integrates existing natural features and creates green outdoor spaces that support a healthy microclimate and a high quality of life for both residents and visitors. Rainwater management and green areas will be central elements in the project, ensuring that the district is prepared for future growth and evolving needs.
The urban development of Vingelunden will play a key role in shaping the future of Vinge and Frederikssund Municipality, helping to position the area as an attractive choice for both new residents and those already living in the municipality.
