Picasso's "The Fishermen" in place in the new Government Quarter
Picasso's "The Fishermen" is now placed in its final position on Block A in the Government Quarter. The placement of the artwork has been carefully planned in collaboration with KORO.
Previously, the artwork faced Johan Nygaardsvold's Square; now it hangs on the other side of the High Block towards Einar Gerhardsen's Square. "The Fishermen" hangs at a similar height as before, and the floor height of Block A has been adjusted so that the facade relief aligns with the artwork's proportions. At the same time, it was important that the artwork does not appear as an integrated part of the new building, so it hangs with a narrow shadow outside the facade.

"The Fishermen" will form the main motif in the Government Quarter's central outdoor space, Einar Gerhardsen's Square. Here, the entrance to the Prime Minister's Office and representative areas, as well as the employee entrance to all ministries, are located.
