The architecture firm is making changes to its management team: an associate partner is stepping up to lead the market sector in Norway, and partner Knut Hovland is taking on the role of Design Director.

With strong momentum in housing, urban development, and commercial projects, we are delighted to have Stijn join the management team,” says CEO Eskild Andersen.

Former leader Knut Hovland is moving into a new role as Design Director, allowing him to dedicate more time to project development, tender work, and project follow-up in Nordic’s Design Council.

Stijn joined Nordic in autumn 2022 from the leadership team at the Dutch firm Powerhouse Company. As a partner, he worked on several high-profile projects, gaining extensive experience and building a broad network, including the award-winning Bunker Tower, a 100-metre mixed-use high-rise in Eindhoven (NL), and the Loop of Wisdom technology museum in Chengdu (CN). His latest project was the winning competition proposal for the Rotterdam Central Library (with Atelier Oslo and LundHagem). At Nordic, Stijn has contributed to international competitions and large-scale urban projects in Oslo, achieving an impressive career trajectory.
