Nordic Office of Architecture strengthens its presence in Denmark

Nordic Office of Architecture is a prominent architect practice in Norway and is well established in Iceland and Denmark. Now, the award-winning architectural firms Rubow Arkitekter and Norconsult Arkitektur in Denmark are merging with Nordic to form one of the largest architectural environments in the Nordic region.

Nordic Office of Architecture will now have around 500 employees in Norway, Denmark, and Iceland, and as such become a market leader in residential, healthcare, airport, and educational projects in the Nordic region. Nordic in Denmark now has 200 skilled architects who will contribute to enhancing the firm’s overall expertise in design, sustainability, and various other fields. Nordic is part of the Norconsult group with 5,500 employees, of which almost 1,000 are architects.

“Collaboration across disciplines and borders has been an important part of Nordic’s success in the Danish market. We have built unique expertise in areas such as airport and healthcare buildings, and now we have the opportunity to work in several market areas,” says Sofie Peschardt, who has led Nordic in Denmark until now. Sofie will become part of the creative leadership in Nordic Denmark. She has worked extensively with colleagues in Oslo and Reykjavik for several years and has seen the value of offering specialized expertise in projects.

“This initiative will strengthen Nordic’s position in the Danish market, enrich our portfolio, and enhance our expertise across disciplines and borders. We look forward to starting the collaboration with our new Danish colleagues,” says Eskild Andersen, CEO of Nordic Norway.

“We have carried out outstanding projects and created sustainable and award-winning architecture for more than 50 years as Nordic Office of Architecture, Rubow Arkitekter, and Norconsult Arkitektur. Now we are combining our experience, knowledge, and culture to create even better architecture for the benefit of people, the environment, and society, both locally and internationally,” emphasizes Jess Sørensen, director of the new Nordic in Denmark.
