Nordic, Nye SUS, and Project Frog to host a talk on industrialized construction at this year's Autodesk University conference

For the first time, everyone can attend Autodesk University digitally, for free! Nordic Office of Architecture, Nye SUS, and Project Frog will jointly hold a talk and share insight into how industrialized construction is approached in Scandinavia and how interdisciplinary collaboration has enabled new solutions.

The talk, presented by Soren Shen-Lung Lin, Bridget White, and Steve DeWitt, is titled "Unite! Innovative BIM Workflows for Industrialized Construction”. This and several other talks led by industry professionals and Autodesk experts will be available on demand from November 17.

Industrialization is becoming widely recognized in the construction industry due to its benefits of efficient production, high quality, and precision. To succeed in industrialized construction, Nordic has been actively implementing innovative BIM methods and advanced technology in all phases, from design to production, for several years.

In this talk you will get a deeper look into the Scandinavian model for industrialized construction. You will also hear about how the interdisciplinary collaboration between Nye SUS, Nordic, the programming team at COWI, and the developers at Project Frog has opened new possibilities for industrialized buildings. The innovative project Nye Stavanger University Hospital, currently under construction, and a high-quality residential project are used as examples.

The collaborating parties reflect on the challenges architects and engineers have faced and provide a step-by-step walkthrough of the process for similar projects with a high degree of industrialized construction, modularity, and repetitive layouts (hotels, schools, office buildings, etc.).
