The red carpet was rolled out earlier this week as we celebrated the topping-out ceremony at The New Sølund

The New Sølund will be a modern and diverse development, bringing together 360 care homes, an activity centre, 22 assisted living units, 152 general youth housing units, and a daycare centre in a new neighbourhood community – in the heart of Copenhagen.

As the team responsible for interior design and wayfinding, we will help shape the vibrant environment, enhance quality of life, and support strong social connections across generations in the new neighbourhood.

We’re truly excited to see the building and surrounding area come to life with people of all ages – where children, older adults, and young people will enrich each other’s daily lives across generations and backgrounds.

The social housing association SAB, represented by KAB, is the developer behind the project, which is designed by C.F. Møller Architects and AFRY. RAMBØLL DANMARK is acting as client advisor. The building is constructed by Nordstern, Tscherning, and Dalgas. Cubic Group and Wissenberg A/S are in charge of construction management and health and safety coordination. Nordic Office of Architecture Denmark is responsible for interior design, furnishings, and wayfinding.

The overall interior design plan for the Sølund Care Centre is commissioned by the Health and Care Administration | City of Copenhagen.
