Nordic Office of Architecture welcomes two new Partners
We are delighted to announce that we are welcoming two new Partners at Nordic - Diana Cruz and Thomas Fagernes.
“Both Diana and Thomas have made significant efforts to secure more projects for the office and possess an infectious positive energy and determination. They both have an excellent understanding of the clients and markets they work with and follow up on these in an exemplary manner.
This has been particularly important in today’s somewhat unique situation, and we are very pleased to now welcome them as partners in the company,” says Eskild Andersen, CEO at Nordic.
Diana has worked on complex projects for a range of public and private clients in the UK, Netherlands, China, Qatar, and Norway. She now leads Nordic’s Urbanism team and has delivered numerous projects in strategic spatial planning and urban development, with particular attention to sustainability, health, and human values. Recently, she was responsible for the master plan for Bragernes in Drammen, a new district in Bodø, and Steinkjer’s new city center plan.
Thomas works extensively in the early stages of planning and design leadership and has collaborated with international consultants and projects for the past 13 years before becoming an Associate Partner at Nordic Office of Architecture in 2018. He joined Nordic from Snøhetta, where he was responsible for establishing their office in Singapore and led the team that won the Grand Shanghai Opera House.
Since joining Nordic, he has strengthened the firm’s international focus through projects like Nanchang Waves, an elegant viewing pavilion in a wetland area in Nanchang, China. Additionally, he has been responsible for several international competitions, including the competition for Guangzhou Terminal Three.
“Both Diana and Thomas are professional beacons at Nordic; they dare to challenge our mindsets and contribute significantly to Nordic’s strategic development.
In short, they help elevate Nordic, they give of themselves, and we are incredibly happy to have them as Partners, colleagues, and friends,” concludes Andersen.
