The new multi-purpose facility at Copenhagen Airport includes a double-height baggage factory on the ground and second levels, an employee canteen on the third level, and a fourth-level office space with 120 workstations and modern meeting facilities.

The canteen is connected to the existing administration building by a bridge in the same design as the new building – a glass facade with sections of clear, translucent and glare-free glass in different shades.

Underground connection

We established a new underground connection to Terminal 2 for the transportation of baggage to the new building.

Architectural approach

The contemporary architectural expression of Baggage Factory West harmonises with CPH Airport’s unique DNA and immediate context. We achieved this with design details such as the rounded corner as well as the choice of materials.

Its human scale is ensured by the proportionality of the glass facades and the careful detailing of the ground floor cladding.

Visible baggage factory

The transparency of the building reflects its underlying functions. The glass facade makes the baggage factory visible from the outside, whilst the upper levels have views and natural daylight.
