High-end transformation

When Baneveien 16 was built in the late 1950's it was a modern office building. Now we have transformed it into contemporary high-end offices fit for the main tenant—the renowned lawyers of Wikborg Rein.

For over a decade, Baneveien 16 sat vacant, a relic of a bygone era. Just a few years back, demolition seemed its likely fate. This was our starting point:

Today, thanks to a remarkable transformation, the building pulsates with new life, just as we visualised for the client:

Architectural challenges

The journey to revitalize the building wasn't easy. Continuous thermal bridges throughout the floors and facades caused heat loss, while the low floor height restricted design freedom. Additionally, the city's preservation requirements demanded careful consideration of the building's historical character. After overcoming these challenges with clever and creative design solutions, we are proud to see the result.

From vision to reality

We've stayed true to our design, and the result is pretty similar to how we visualised it. Feel free to walk through the building as we imagined it below.

Exclusive place to live and work

The project has revamped the building into a haven of modern luxury, featuring high-end office spaces, exclusive apartments, and a high-end restaurant.

Preserve and improve

Located in an up and coming development area in Bergen, the building is a fine example of a structure worth preserving to create a work environment fit for the future. We have taken care to maintain the expression of the existing building in our design.
