A six-storey apartment building from the 19th century was restored into a contemporary and representative headquarters for Boston Consulting Group. The facade and main stairs of the building are listed and thus protected from any alterations, challenging the clients' demands.

Playing on historic elements

The reception area was expanded to include the floor above, creating a double-height space. Backlit glass prisms were installed on the back wall and reception desk, while additional lighted glass prisms were placed between the offices to enhance the sense of openness. The interplay between the new glass walls and the original windows reveals the building's history, seamlessly blending it with the modern design.
