A New Urban Chapter for Fornebu

At the heart of Fornebu, a new neighbourhood is taking shape. Fornebu Centre introduces a fresh scale and rhythm to the peninsula—an urban district within a traditionally suburban setting.

Our design for blocks 5 and 6 builds on Rodeo Architect’s masterplan, translating vision into architecture that balances density with daylight, and variation with a human scale. The project features mid-rise buildings and three taller volumes, carefully placed to create a vibrant and welcoming cityscape.

Where City Meets Nature

Set within a generous landscape, the site offers open views to distant hills and easy access to the sea, green spaces, and local shops. The terrain gently steps down, creating opportunities for varied building heights and sunny outdoor spaces.

With the new metro line connecting to central Oslo in just over ten minutes, the area will feel both peaceful and well-connected. Buildings are positioned to maximise sunlight and minimise shadows—ensuring bright, comfortable homes for future residents.

With a strong focus on daylight, walkability, and social spaces, Fornebu Centre offers a blueprint for inclusive, sustainable urban living. Geir Messel, Architect and Associate Partner

Setting the Tone for Sustainable Living

As the first development in Fornebu Centre, this project sets the tone for what’s to come. The architecture responds to its surroundings with care—drawing on local materials, varied rooflines, and a clear aesthetic.
