Fully integrated

The train station at Oslo Airport was designed as an integral part of the original terminal building opened in 1998. Providing a seamless connection to central Oslo with the new high-speed train line was an important strategy to promote the use of public transportation to and from the airport.

Central and convenient

Passengers arrive beneath an undulating timber canopy and are taken up into the station hall by escalator or lift. The station is centrally located in the airport terminal building, providing short walking distances to check-in halls on both sides.

Updated and refreshed

In connection with the terminal expansion in 2017, the train station was renovated with extended platforms, improved roofs and additional escalators. Passenger flows on the platform level were reorganised and improved to accommodate increased traffic.

Nordic managed the interface design between the airport and the train station and coordinated all involved disciplines. The construction project was conducted whilst the railway station and airport terminal were in full operation.
