Long term planning
The largest airport in Sweden needs to grow. And in order to increase Arlanda’s capacity from 21 million passengers per year to 36 million passengers per year by 2050, Swedavia needs to team up with someone who has developed airports before. Enter Nordic.
Go to gate
Our first focal point was exploring possibilities for future expansion of the terminal building. It needs to be reorganized, and we need to construct a larger security control and check-in area to improve passenger flow.
Pier review
After our preliminary studies, mainly concentrating on reorganising Terminal 5 and improving flow, we were commissioned to develop a new pier, baggage handling systems, an airside strategy and an additional commercial area.
