A super hospital
There are six new “super-hospitals” in Denmark. In 2011, Nordic and partners submitted the winning proposal to design one of them: Gødstrup Hospital.
The hospital opened in 2022 and includes all emergency services, surgery, diagnostic imaging and laboratory facilities as well as outpatient clinics and wards.
Friendly and effective
At Nordic, we know that a hospital must first and foremost be effective, but it should also ensure the well-being of patients and staff. For instance, employees have their own hub with offices and meeting spaces.
Get some air
Parts of the hospital with a high patient flow are located near the entrances, while wards, operating theatres and the like are sited on the upper floors. Several courtyards give patients, visitors and staff access to fresh air and the countryside beyond - because the open air is good for you!
