Hafjell 950 at Gaiastova on Hafjelltoppen is set to become a unique recreation and activity destination. To ensure sustainable development, we utilise local resources while preserving biodiversity and the character of Hafjell. There's already a well-established infrastructure at Gaiastova, limiting the impact on untouched nature.
Embracing local traditions
By organising the hotel buildings around courtyards of varying sizes, we embrace building traditions from Gudbrandsdalen, creating a strong identity for the new destination. Together, the buildings resemble a mountain village.
The heart of the village
"The hotel courtyard" will become the heart of the village - a lively outdoor space with activities throughout the year for visitors and the surrounding cabin community. Leisure and recreational activities include tennis courts, swimming pool, spa, mini-golf, gym facilities, and dining.
A sense of belonging
"The farm courtyard" is encircled by 3-4 story apartment buildings, fostering intimate outdoor areas with private spaces, enhancing a sense of community. The structures are thoughtfully designed to optimise sunlight exposure and offer prime views for the apartments.
