The Maldives are well known for blue skies, clear waters and luxury living. And on one of the Islands, Hanimaadhoo, the Regional Government wanted to create a modern and iconic terminal building that reflected the landscape and lifestyle of the Maldives.
Sustainable structures
Nordic’s proposal had to respect the delicate water ecosystem of the Maldives, and sustainable building methods and design were incorporated in every part of the project. The new airport embraces the Maldivian culture and its natural setting.
