Where children flourish
This exciting nursery project, won in a competition in 2013, included designing a new building and renovating an old villa, in addition to creating three different outdoor play areas for various activities. The task was to create a place in which small children can play, learn and grow in a safe, inspiring and welcoming atmosphere.
Step by step
The nursery has a flexible layout with "bases" that can modified according to need. The new building is designed as steps, allowing for roof gardens, where the children can play and learn. Holmenveien Nursery has elevators to all levels, an intuitive colour and signage scheme and no thresholds.
