A customised rebirth
There’s this fantastic site on the island of Nesøya outside Oslo. The house built there in the eighties didn’t properly play to the strengths of the site, so Nordic was asked to develop a total reimagining.
Real reallocation
With all the extensions and changes to the plan, as well as the creation of an additional annex, further space was created through excavation into the hillside and the ground beneath. With this transformation, the form of the roof remains as the the only recognisable element from the original house.
Take the scenic route
The new layout for Villa Varner Vallaker makes the most of its green surroundings and scenic views of the sea. This includes an outdoor kitchen, a pergola and a new basement with dining and spa facilities. The external materials include custom made oak paneling, copper roof tiles, and lightly polished granite.
