360 degrees overview
Nanchang Wave is a landscape based community centre with a varied program forming the heart of a large residential development. The double helix structure towards the wetland area gives 360 degrees overview of the neighbourhood as one walks up to the panoramic gallery at top.
An expression of a region
Nanchang Waves derives its concept from the surrounding waterscapes. The viewing tower and surrounding public realm creates versatile and welcoming spaces that enhances and connects the urban context to the natural landscape of the region. Included in Nanchang Waves are arenas for events, cafés, galleries and urban agriculture gardens for the neighbourhood schools.
Volume build up
The building consists of a range of internal spaces - all connected by the seamless landscape and helix tower observation levels.
